The Garden Hills Pool is a great place to cool down on a hot summer day. Kids can also get involved with the swim and dive teams there. Frankie Allen Park is also located in the neighborhood. Its baseball fields, tennis courts, and picnic areas are the perfect place to spend a weekend afternoon with the family. ?Just south of Garden Hills is the Parkside Drive Park and Duck Pond which features 10 acres of walking trails and open green space.
In 2013, the average home in Garden Hills sold for a little over $650,000, but real estate prices in the neighborhood can vary greatly. You might find a home for as little as $500,000 next to one that costs well over $2 million. Architectural styles also vary with several classic examples of everything from Craftsman to Tudor to Georgian scattered throughout the picturesque neighborhood.
Children in Garden Hills can attend one of Atlanta’s fine International Baccalaureate World Schools or one of Buckhead’s highly-coveted private institutions. Garden Hills Elementary School sits in the center of the neighborhood, as does the private Atlanta International School. Garden Hills Elementary grads will continue on to Sutton Middle School and the nationally recognized North Atlanta High School.
